The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is delighted to announce details of the Lister Surgical Skills Competition!

If you are a Medical Student who will be in your 3rd, 4th or 5th year in Autumn 2011 and fancy yourself as a budding surgeon,register your interest today in this exciting UK wide surgical skills challenge. From September to December 2011, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh will be visiting a location near you for regional rounds of this competition.

From those who register interest here on this site, we will be randomly selecting 20 candidates to compete in each regional heat.

The best contenders from each region will win a travel and accommodation package to Edinburgh to participate in a Grand Final to be held as part of the Lister Centenary Celebrations in February 2012, and stand the chance to win a major prize involving travel to the Sponsor’s European Surgical Training Institute in Hamburg.
